Kilowatts (kW)

While there are a few different definitions of horsepower, this calculator uses mechanical or brake horsepower (bhp), which is commonly used for cars.
How to convert between kW and horsepower
To convert kilowatts to horsepower, multiply the power in kW by 1.341. To go the other way—from horsepower to kilowatts—divide the horsepower by the same number.
