Hungaroring Circuit Guide

The Hungaroring is a motorsport circuit located in Mogyoród, Hungary, and is home to the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix. It hosted the first Formula One Grand Prix held behind the Iron Curtain in 1986. The Hungaroring is located 20 kilometers north of Budapest, next to the M3 highway. 

The Hungaroring is now one of the busiest circuits in Eastern Europe, hosting rounds of the DTM touring car series, WTCC, the GT Open series, and the Formula One race.

To enhance overtaking, the course was revised in two spots in 2003. To create a more challenging braking zone, the run down to the first bend was prolonged, and the corner itself was tightened. Second, the back straight was stretched, and the severe right-hand kink was transformed into a 90-degree corner. As a result, turn 13 tightened significantly. 

The circuit is tough on tyres because of its dusty surface, and drivers are forced to stop more frequently. The circuit is also tricky to brake on, with at least three strong braking moments per lap. Furthermore, because the circuit is used during the summer, dependability is a typical issue.
