Santa Pod Raceway Circuit Guide

Santa Pod was the first permanent drag racing facility in Europe, having opened in 1966. Santa Pod Raceway hosts rounds of the British Drag Racing Championship and the European Drag Racing Championships.

It hosts over 50 events throughout the season and still boasts the world's fastest all-asphalt dragstrip. At Santa Pod Raceway, you’ll find specialist events, Japanese performance car events, VW Beetle & Camper festivals, modified car shows, classic car events, and National drag race meetings.

One of the most interesting options is the 'Run What Ya Brung' (RWYB) public track day where you can race your car or bike against your friends or other attendees. Santa Pod Raceway is a quarter-mile dragstrip so it’s a lot different from other track days nationwide. It’s a great place to test your vehicle’s performance in a legal and safe environment.

‘Drift What Ya Brung’ (DWYB) is a similar event where you race your own vehicle, but this time the focus is on performing and learning drifting techniques. Santa Pod Raceway states it is the cheapest public track to get onto in the UK, starting from £45 admission.
